Harry Gordon- Tonka

Picture
Harry Gordon has worked in various places as a sculpture professor, for both Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY and Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg, NJ.  He was also Department Head of Sculpture Installation for the Johnson Atelier for 13 years.

Gordon currently works out of his own sculpture studio in Lambertville, NJ and is known for his monumental wood and stone sculptures.  His sensitivity to nature is apparent in the way he executes his works, enhancing and not invading natural spaces.

As a national "go to" expert at transporting and installing large scale sculptures, Gordon spends much of his time traversing the United States to and from sculpture installations.

Harry Gordon has either donated his time or given significant discounts for installing all of the outdoor sculpture for New Hope Arts - from 2003 to present.  He and his wife, Wendy, also a sculptor, have been instrumental in making the Outdoor Sculpture Project the success that it is.  They worked extensively with New Hope Arts founder Robin Larsen during the planning stages of the project.
