Susan Griswold - Gantry

Susan Griswold’s work is widely exhibited in sculpture parks throughout the United States. Griswold is currently the founding director of St. Johns Sculpture Park in Portland Oregon, an environment dedicated to the creation of large –scale experimental outdoor works that are free of commercial market pressures.

Griswold's history with large installations began in the 1990s and includes many honors and residencies among her long list of installations throughout the country. In 1993 she was the recipient of the Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant.

Griswold worked for nine years in New York City as a preparator at the Whitney Museum. She currently lives in Portland, OR and runs St. Johns Sculpture Park.

Before coming to New Hope, Gantry was installed at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY as a part of the on-going large scale exhibition program.

This sculpture was retired in 2017.
